CREATING AN INCLUSIVITY IN EDUCATION-THE REAL CHALLENGE OF NEP 2020 IN SWARAJ INDIA
India is one of the few nations in the world where the Ministry of Human Resource Development is not responsible for the education of children with special needs. Generally speaking, it falls within the purview of the Omnibus Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, whose main objective is rehabilitation rather than education. The issue of education for children with disabilities continues to be unnoticeable, hidden from the public, and a private concern for families and NGOs to handle. In truth, it still does not include education as part of its objective. Governmental organizations and mainstream institutions need to wake up to the fact that segregating kids with special needs is morally wrong and infringes on their rights.
