A Critical Study on Screen Time and Psychosomatic Health of Future Learners
The excessive usage of digital devices has raised the issue of the impact of exposure to digital screens on the psychosomatic health of the younger generation. This paper provides a comprehensive review of the existing literature on the relationship between screen time and psychosomatic health in future learners. The paper aids in understanding the screen time on various developments, namely cognitive-emotional and behavioural, and enlightens about the vulnerable risks in the involvement of excessive screen time on the psychosomatic health of children and adolescents. The study employed a mixed-methods approach, combining both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis methods. A standardised and well-constructed questionnaire designed by investigators was administered to a sample of 150 children and adolescents aged 8-18 years to gather data on their screen time habits and psychosomatic health.
